Antique French Balance De Menage Non Poinconne Scale with 2 Matching Bowls
Scale is made from cast iron while the matching bowls are made of brass
The brass bowls are not original to the scale, yet they work well for display purposes. 
Made in France in late 1890s - 1900s

Cast iron is painted fire engine red. Cannot tell if original factory paint or repainted in antiquity. The paint job is very old with characteristic of age as seen with some of the iron showing through due to use. The old paint creates a very French Provence "shabby chic" look.
Versatile and functional piece.  Still able to use as a balance/scale or as a decorative piece as shown in the photo.
Gently cleaned to maintain the patina as seen in the century old grime peaking through.
The 2 brass bowls have some corrosion spots and dents as expected with antique pieces.
